Dual Credit for 2014-15
Still haven't turned in your Dual Credit paperwork? It's not too late! Please turn in your forms to Ms. Beata ASAP.

If you are considering a summer or fall Dual Credit class on Parkland campus, their schedule is now available here.
Scholarships
Seniors, don't forget to check Career Cruising regularly for scholarship opportunities! New scholarships are added frequently during this time of year.

Students should login in using the following format:

  • Username: CHM-ID# (ex. CHM-540126)
  • Password: 8 digit birthday in mm/dd/yyyy format (ex. January 9, 1995 = 01091995)
Summer Opportunities
University of Illinois Lyceum - June 8-June 14
Illinois Lyceum is an entirely free, week-long summer philosophy academy for high school students in the Champaign-Urbana area. Students will discuss contemporary philosophical problems with philosophy graduate students. Interested students should contact the Illinois Lyceum staff at illinoislyceum@gmail.com or 217-299-7405.

Media University - June 16-27
This program is offered through the University of Illinois College of Media. It introduces high school students to the many facets of advertising and journalism as viable career choices through hands-on learning activities. Students will work on a real project; interact with University of Illinois faculty, ad agencies and clients, journalists, and media personnel; and learn from current University of Illinois students. At the end of the program, students will present their projects to their clients, parents and the public at a graduation ceremony.

Sustainable Futures: Global Studies Summer Workshop - June 15-20
Sustainable Futures: Global Studies Summer Workshop is a week-long summer program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign that includes one college credit. Applications are now being accepted; there is a rolling admission process. Application materials are due by April 30, 2014. Notifications are sent by May 5, 2014. 2014 Prairie Research Institute Science Camp - July 21-25
This STEM experience is a week-long day camp where high school juniors, seniors, and recent graduates have the opportunity to spend one day at each of the five divisions of the Institute working side-by-side with scientists to gain hands-on experience in geology, archaeology, sustainable technology, water science, and environmental/biological science. Application are available on their website and are due May 18. For more information, see the website or flyer below.
